Japan Competition Terms & Conditions
Ultimate trip to Japan Competition T&C’s
These terms and conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

General Competition Terms
Eligibility:
This promotion is open to all entrants aged 18 or over globally excluding employees and the immediate families of the Hardtuned Pty Ltd, its subsidiaries, other group companies, its agents, or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.
Promotion Period:
The competition begins at 12:00pm AEST on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, and closes at 12:00pm AEST on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. All purchases made on the Hardtuned website during this period are eligible for entry. Entries submitted outside of the promotional period will not be eligible for the competition.
Entry Method:
Entries are accumulated based on purchases made through the Hardtuned website. Each product grants a specific number of entries, and these entries are automatically accumulated per customer account for the duration of the promotional period.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win and entrants can claim (1) free entry provided they meet the eligibility conditions specified. Free entry can be claimed by mailing a signed note providing the following details; full name, email address, phone number, date of birth and address to the Promoter address listed above. Mail-in votes must be delivered to the Promoter address by December 3rd 2024 to be eligible for entry and are limited to one (1) per person. Entries received outside of the promotional period will not be eligible for the competition.
Draw Date:
The winner will be randomly selected on November 5, 2024, at 3pm AEST. Hardtuned will contact the winner via phone or email. If the winner cannot be reached within 14 days of the draw date Hardtuned reserves the right to select another winner. Hardtuned reserves the right to modify the draw date in the event of unforeseen circumstances or technical issues that prevent the competition from concluding as planned. In such cases, entrants will be notified of any new draw date, and all valid entries received will be included in the rescheduled draw.
Specific Prize Terms and Conditions:
Return Flight Tickets to Tokyo: Return flight tickets for the competition winner and one (1) guest will be provided for a mutually agreed-upon date, subject to airline availability from the competition winner's closest international airport to the Narita International Airport in Tokyo, Japan. High-demand travel seasons, and last-minute bookings may restrict certain dates. The winner and guest are responsible for ensuring valid travel documents, passports, visas, and any required vaccinations are obtained. Hardtuned will cover standard economy class fares. Any upgrades or alterations are at the winner's expense. Hardtuned is not liable for any loss due to flight changes or cancellations by the airline.
7 Nights Accommodation for Two: A One (1) room hotel booking will be made at a reputable establishment in Tokyo for the mutually agreed-upon dates, for Seven (7) nights. Any additional charges (e.g., room service, hotel amenities, additional nights accommodation, etc.) are the responsibility of the winner and will not be covered by Hardtuned.
Travel Insurance: Basic travel insurance coverage will be arranged, covering common medical and travel-related contingencies. Hardtuned is not liable for any circumstances or claims that exceed the scope of the insurance policy or exclusions that apply.
USD$2000 Spending Money: Spending money will be transferred to the winner prior to departure or provided upon arrival in Tokyo. Any exchange fees or currency fluctuations are the responsibility of the winner.
Hardtuned Team Jackets (2x): Jackets will be selected in the winner's preferred sizes and will be mailed to the winner’s address prior to the trip.
Private Tokyo Car Scene Night Tour: The tour includes a hotel pickup by partner company Niche-Drive (Niche Tours (Niche Drive) 2-chome Nagatacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan) and a drive through Tokyo in the HardTuned x Niche Drive Widebody Nissan R35 GTR. Participants must comply with all local safety guidelines. Hardtuned and Niche-Drive are not liable for any injuries or accidents during the tour. Wangan Highway Cruise, Daikoku Futo Car Meet, Visit to JDM Shops and other additional activities: Activities are subject to availability and local regulations on the night of the event. Hardtuned is not liable for any disruptions to the schedule or changes due to local laws or restrictions.
2x Tickets to Car Event or Attraction: Tickets will be arranged in advance based on the winner's selection, subject to availability on their selected date.Hardtuned will cover ticket costs up to $200 USD. Any amount exceeding this limit must be covered by the winner.
Hardtuned is not responsible for event cancellation or schedule changes by the event organiser.
Alternative Prize:
If the winner cannot or chooses not to travel to Japan, Hardtuned will provide an alternative cash prize of $5,000 USD in lieu of the original prize package. The substitution prize is final, non-transferable, and no further compensation will be provided.
Data Collection and Privacy:
By entering this competition, participants agree to the collection and use of their personal information by Hardtuned Pty Ltd solely for the purpose of administering the competition, fulfilling prizes, and for any other purpose directly related to the competition. Hardtuned will handle all personal data in accordance with its privacy policy and applicable data protection laws. Participants’ information will not be shared with third parties, except as necessary for prize fulfilment or as required by law. Entrants have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of their data at any time by contacting Hardtuned at sales@hardtunedstore.com.
Release and Limitations of Liability:
By participating in this competition, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Hardtuned, its affiliates, partners, employees, agents, and any associated entities (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the competition or receipt or use of any prize, including but not limited to: (i) any technical errors or interruptions that may prevent an entrant from submitting an entry; (ii) unauthorised human or technical intervention in the competition; (iii) errors in the administration, processing, or handling of entries; (iv) printing or typographical errors; (v) injury, death, or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the entrant’s participation in the competition or acceptance, receipt, or use/misuse of any prize; or (vi) any delays, changes, or cancellations in the availability of prize components.
Furthermore, Hardtuned shall not be liable for any costs beyond those specifically outlined in the prize components listed above, nor for any additional expenses, incidental costs, or changes that may arise due to delays or adjustments in prize availability. Entrants agree that, in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the competition, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for legal fees. Entrants waive the right to claim any damages, including but not limited to punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.
In case of force majeure events beyond the reasonable control of Hardtuned, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, civil unrest, or any public health crisis, Hardtuned reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the competition or any component of the prize without liability.
